Notes

We reviewed the last meeting for Brenna who had been absent and has not had email access (see previous minute meetings). On a related note, Brenna will be largely unavailable during the months of November and December but will continue coming to Tuesday meetings when possible in order to stay informed, easing her transition back into LETS in January.

Brenna reported that our new address is PO Box 36, Asheville, NC 28802. She was able to move us to a smaller box; however, we were only able to get a 50% refund on the box we previously rented. The new box will be about half as much, so the total cost for this first 6 months is unchanged; however, we will have a lower long-term upkeep.

Kim reported that translation work was being done Tuesday, but she has not yet received confirmation of completion. Hopefully it will be done in time to print this weekend.

Regarding finances, we determined that our expenditure has, so far, totaled $107.00 (domain registration and PO Box rental). Kim, Kila and/or Joe can split the next expense (Stephens Lee? see below.) to balance money spent by Scott and Brenna.

We discussed the outreach letter written by Kim & Scott. Some adjustments were made. The document may be adjusted once our new meeting location is finalized. We further divided up some of the orgs to whom we wish to outreach after our new meeting space is confirmed. Kim will contact Tyrone Greenle (Christians for a United Community), Scott will contact Wally Bowen (MAIN) and Laura Gordon (WNC Central Labor Council) and Brenna will contact Adrianne Weire (Lead Poisoning Prevention Program). (See attached spreadsheet).

We agreed to pursue Stephens Lee for public meetings. Kim will do a rough draft on our application letter and pass it off to Kila and/or Scott for a second draft. It can be compiled from our various other written material. Tuesday should be available at Stephens Lee.

Finally we looked over some forms that Brenna began generating. Anyone interested in contributing should email their suggestions to Kila to synthesize a second draft. From there a final layout can be done (maybe by Joe?).
